We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Accounts Payable Payment Manager to join our team and oversee all aspects of our billing operations.
Position Overview:
The Accounts Payable Payment Manager will be responsible for managing all invoicing, payment tracking, and follow-up activities. This role requires a strong understanding of billing best practices and experience with Stripe, our primary billing management program. The ideal candidate will ensure the accuracy and timeliness of billing processes, maintain financial
dashboards within Stripe, and implement best practices to optimize our billing operations. This position plays a critical role in maintaining customer satisfaction and supporting the financial health of the company.
Key Responsibilities:
Invoicing and Payment Tracking:
- Manage the entire subscription and invoicing process, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of all customer invoices.
- Track payments and follow up on overdue accounts to ensure timely collection of receivables.
- Reconcile billing accounts to ensure accurate financial reporting and resolve any discrepancies.
Financial Dashboard Management:
- Maintain and update financial dashboards within Stripe, providing accurate and up-to-date financial information to the management team.
- Generate and analyze billing reports to identify trends, discrepancies, and areas for improvement.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements related to billing activities.
Customer Billing Best Practices:
- Develop and implement billing best practices to optimize efficiency and accuracy in billing operations.
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing billing inquiries and resolving issues promptly.
- Create and maintain documentation for billing processes and procedures.
Collaboration and Communication:
- Work closely with the management team to ensure alignment of billing processes with overall financial goals.
- Collaborate with the customer success team to address billing-related customer concerns and improve the overall customer experience.
- Communicate effectively with customers regarding billing policies, procedures, and any changes.
Compliance and Documentation:
- Ensure compliance with all relevant billing regulations and standards.
- Maintain accurate and organized billing records and documentation.
- Conduct regular audits to ensure billing accuracy and compliance.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in billing management or a related role, preferably within a SaaS or subscription-based business.
- Proficiency in using Stripe for billing management.
- Experience with QuickBooks Online is appreciated.
- Strong understanding of billing best practices and financial processes.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, business administration, or a related field is preferred.
